Chief Gibson Achonwa Njemanze (Oyiga) has formally assumed duty as Special Adviser, Agriculture Development Programme, ADP, Imo State

Oyiga arrived the ADP office located at Okigwe road, Owerri, where he was received by the Acting Programme Director, ADP, Pastor Jonathan and other officials of the agency

The new SA was briefed on activities, challenges of the programme by the Acting Programme Officer, Pastor Jonathan A.E

The Programme Officer expressed hope that with Oyiga’s appointment, there is a ray of hope for the ADP in Imo State, which has suffered several challenges ranging from financial constraints and low staff morale among staffers.

In his remarks, the former Mayor of Owerri, Gisbon Njemanze assured that the ADP in Imo State which has been moribound for long, will be revived to play greater roles to boost agricultural development of the state.

He said revitalizing the sector remains a priority, as the Uzodinmma administration is committed to food security for the people of the state.
