A 37-year-old man, Chibuzo Peter, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by an Owerri Magistrate Court presided over by His Worship, Uche Stella Chukwu.
Mr. Peter was sentenced for having unlawful carnal knowledge of three young men on August 14, 2023, namely, Solomon Sunday, 18, Ezirim Chimezie, 18, and Anthony Oparaugo, 19, against the order of nature with their consents obtained by force, threat, and intimidation.
Peter was also given a seven-year prison term by the court for conspiring with the other three defendants to conduct an unnatural offense in violation of Section 516 of the Criminal Code.
Additionally, for violating Section 214 of the Criminal Code, Sunday, Chimezie, and Oparaugo received sentences of five years in jail with the possibility of a fine of N500, 000 each.
Both sentences against Peter Chibuzo were to run concurrently.
The four accused persons pleaded guilty to the four-count charge, and the court also convicted them and slapped jail terms on them.
