Baptista Questions Osimhen’s Fit for Manchester United Amid Transfer Rumours

by admin

Julio Baptista has expressed skepticism about Victor Osimhen thriving at Manchester United. Speculation over the Nigerian striker’s next move intensifies ahead of the summer transfer window.

Osimhen, 26, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, is expected to leave the Serie A club permanently. However, Baptista is unsure if Old Trafford is the right destination for the prolific forward.

The former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker praised Osimhen’s talent but highlighted concerns about compatibility. “He’s an incredible striker, but he needs a team that matches his playing style,” Baptista said.

Osimhen, who has scored 29 goals in 33 matches this season, has been linked to Manchester United. Baptista questioned whether United’s current setup would provide the opportunities Osimhen needs to excel.

Manchester United is struggling this season, sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table. A Europa League victory is their last hope to secure Champions League qualification and financial stability.

Goals have been scarce for the Red Devils, with only 38 scored in 33 league matches. Key forwards, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, have failed to deliver consistently.

As United plans for a crucial summer window, they are scouting several attacking options. Names like Benjamin Sesko and Liam Delap are being considered to address their scoring woes.
