South East APC Youths, Women Leaders Disown Communiqué, Advocate Transparency In Zonal Administration

The South East APC Zonal Youth Leader, Barr. Chima Ogbonnaya, and the Woman Leader, Dr. Oby Ajih, have advocated transparency, inclusiveness, and unity in the administration of the zone.

They demanded that every zonal officer should be carried along in all decision-making processes while maintaining a strong relationship with all national officers.

The duo made the appeal while reacting to a communiqué issued by the zonal leadership after their meeting held in Enugu on Thursday.

Ogbonnaya and Ajih noted that while the meeting was highly successful and everyone was energized by the resolutions, they were not happy over the insertion of extraneous materials into the communiqué.

Outrightly disowning the communiqué, they frowned at the inclusion in the document of some decisions that were not collectively arrived at during the meeting.

According to the youth and woman leaders, it was embarrassing to read of issues that were not even discussed, talk less of adopting them as part of the resolutions.

They urged the leadership of the zone to consult widely among members to arrive at a consensus on critical decisions that affect the APC at all levels.

They, however, reaffirmed their loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the NWC of the APC, and the leadership of the South East Zonal Chairman.
