The immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Sir MacDonald Ebere, PhD, has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma on his appointment as Secretary of the campaign council for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
In a congratulatory message he posted on his verified Facebook page, Ebere described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Uzodimma’s “unwavering dedication, loyalty and enormous contributions” to the APC and the Nigerian project.
Ebere, who described Uzodimma as his leader and mentor, said the governor had over the years distinguished himself as a committed party man and a political strategist with an exceptional ability to mobilise people and deliver results.
According to him, Uzodimma’s record of leadership and commitment to the ideals of the APC had continued to set him apart among the party’s leaders.
“Senator Hope Uzodimma has consistently demonstrated that he is not only a committed party man, but also a true progressive, an exceptional political strategist, a goal-getter and an achiever with an uncommon capacity for delivering results,” he said.
Ebere said the new national assignment was another vote of confidence in Uzodimma’s political experience, capacity and commitment to the APC and the country.
He also commended the APC leadership and President Tinubu for finding the Imo governor worthy of the strategic responsibility, describing the choice as one based on “merit, competence, loyalty and a proven record of accomplishment.”
The former state APC chairman said Uzodimma’s ability to mobilise people towards a common objective would be particularly valuable in the campaign, expressing confidence that he would bring his characteristic energy, discipline and political wisdom to the assignment.
“I have no doubt whatsoever that His Excellency will bring his characteristic energy, discipline, political wisdom and winning mentality to bear in this new assignment,” Ebere said.
He added that Uzodimma, whom he described as a man known for excellence and results, would contribute immensely to the success of Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
Ebere concluded by congratulating Uzodimma on behalf of himself and “all progressive-minded Nigerians who believe in purposeful leadership,” declaring that the governor’s new national role was a source of pride to Imo State and the APC.
“Your Excellency, congratulations once again! Imo State is proud of you, the APC is proud of you, and we are confident that you will deliver on this new national assignment with distinction,” he said.
