World Athletics Championships: Amusan Cruises Into Final

The women’s 100-meter hurdles final for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, will feature Tobi Amusan.

Amusan overcame a slow start to win Heat 2 in 12.56 seconds.

Ackera Nuggent of Jamaica finished in second place with a time of 12.60 seconds, and Naddine Visser of Canada followed in third with a time of 12.62 seconds.

Kendra Harrison, a former world record holder, won the opening semifinal race in 12.33 seconds.

Heat 3 was won by Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in 12.41 seconds, ahead of Nia Ali in 12.49.

On Sunday night, Amusan will compete in the competition’s final.

Nigerian currently holds the event record and is the reigning champion.
