Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen is set to meet Galatasaray fans on Tuesday as he prepares to finalize his move to the Turkish Super Lig champions.
This was revealed by Turkish football commentator Hakan Gündoğar, who confirmed Osimhen’s expected arrival date in Istanbul.
“Osimhen will be in Istanbul on Tuesday. Clear information. He will meet with Galatasaray fans on Tuesday,” Gündoğar said via habersarikirmizi.
He added that Galatasaray supporters are gearing up to give Osimhen “one of the most historic welcomes” ever seen at the club.
The move comes after Galatasaray and Napoli reportedly agreed on bank guarantees and payment plans for Osimhen’s permanent transfer this summer.
According to reports, the Turkish giants will pay Osimhen’s €75 million release clause in two instalments – €40 million now and €35 million within a year.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, had earlier rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal to commit to the Istanbul-based club.
