Turkish football transfer expert, Süleyman Rodop, has revealed that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has spoken with Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman about joining Turkish champions, Galatasaray. The club is reportedly keen on securing Lookman’s signature in the January transfer window.

Rodop disclosed that Galatasaray are prepared to pay around €40 million for the transfer, although Atalanta are said to value the Nigerian forward at no less than €60 million. Lookman, meanwhile, is demanding an annual salary of €9 million before considering the move.

The Turkish giants have been monitoring Lookman’s form in Serie A, where he has impressed with his pace, creativity, and finishing. Osimhen, who remains one of Nigeria’s most influential footballers in Europe, is understood to have encouraged his compatriot to make the switch to Istanbul.

“Osimhen spoke with this player,” Rodop was quoted as saying by Habersarikirmizi. “According to what I’ve heard, the player wants nine million euros annually. There are no direct negotiations yet, but Galatasaray are serious about the move.”
