Akor Adams Set for Venezia Move

Nigerian striker Akor Adams is set to complete a €23 million move from Spanish side Sevilla to newly promoted Serie A club Venezia, with his arrival in Italy scheduled for Tuesday ahead of the club’s pre-season preparations.

The 25-year-old forward is expected to undergo the final formalities before linking up with his new teammates when Venezia begin their training camp on Thursday, bringing an end to negotiations over the transfer.

Adams now faces the task of spearheading Venezia’s bid to retain their Serie A status following the club’s promotion to Italy’s top flight. The move also offers the former Flying Eagles striker an opportunity to establish himself in one of Europe’s most tactical leagues.

The transfer inevitably invites comparisons with Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, whose prolific debut season in Serie A laid the foundation for his rise as one of Europe’s elite strikers. Adams will hope to make a similar impact as he begins a new chapter in Italian football.
