Ebonyi State Governor and Chairman, South East Governors, Dave Umahi, has said there is nothing wrong if people agitate as long as it is within their fundamental human rights.
Umahi spoke on behalf of South East Governors after a closed door meeting at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He made it clear that the meeting was not about the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) but on the unity of the nation.
The Governor stressed on the need of security of lives and properties of Nigerians across the country. He also said there is need for a honest, fair and equitable Nigeria.
He however urged all Nigerians to refrain from making hate speeches, but rather make statements that will bind the people together.
“ Statements of love, statements of unity and statements of hope and of course we should also work very hard” he said
