Governor Hope Uzodinma seems to have taken total and absolute control of his administration as observed in his latest appointments.

All the 52 appointees he appointed as Commissioners, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants are his core loyalists who stood with him in his gruelling battle to become Imo State Governor.

From the list, it was observed that Governor Uzodinma shunned his allies such as former Governor Rochas Okorocha and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume .

The duo had embraced Uzodinma after the Supreme Court sacked Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP as Governor of Imo State.

This newspaper had reported last week there are noticeable cracks on the wall, as Uzodinma may not be disposed to accept nominees for appointments in his government from Okorocha and Araraume.

Our findings proved correct as the Governor rewarded only his loyalists and shut the door on his allies.

It was unclear how this development will shape his relationship with his allies who are said to have recommended some nominees but turned down by the Governor.

Newspaper reports had claimed that Okorocha as part of the deal with Uzodinma requested the reinstatement of local government chairmen elected during his reign as Governor, but we’re sacked by Ihedioha.

Uzodinma declined and rather directed Directors of Administration and General Services DAGS to run the Councils.
