Imo State is making an aggressive move to curb the spread of covid 19 as measures have been put in place by the State Public Health Emergency Centre to commence Covid 19 Community testing across the 27 local governments in the State.
The tests will be carried out by the state Public Heath Emergency Operation centre.
A statement by the State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mrs Maris Osunkwo, stated that the testing exercise will begin on 7th September, 2020.
According to her, the importance of the testing is to “identify those infected with the virus and treat them, as covid 19 is not a death sentence”
She enjoined Imolites to come out enmasse for the testing.
