Imo State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Barr Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Friday reeled out reasons why the Imo State government recovered and sealed the Royal Palm Estate.

The estate is allegedly linked to wife of former Imo State Governor, Nneona Rochas Okorocha,

In a video seen by INNONEWS, the Commissioner, who led some policemen and journalists to seal the estate, said the act is in line with the recommendation contained in Government White paper of the Justice Duruohaigwe led Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Lands and other Related matters, which was debated and adopted by the Imo State Executive Council.

He said the property is a built up estate built on a verge, an open space which is in total violation of the watershed of the Otammiri layout.

According to the Commissioner, the Panel had recommended demolition of the property, thus the State Government took possession of the property and prohibited the public from encroachment and trespassing on it.
