There was a minor brawl between former Governor of Imo State and Senator Representing Orlu zone at the senate, Senator Rochas Okorocha and former Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya aboard Air peace aircraft from Abuja to Owerri on Sunday morning.
The enraged monarch warned the Senator to stay away from Orlu Zone, a zone which Senator Okorocha represents at the senate
Trouble began at the aircraft when the Monarch charged at the Senator with his walking stick. And what began like a drama degenerated to a brawl forcing the cabin crew to relocate the senator from his seat.
Eze Ilomuanya’s grouse with Okorocha dates back to the latter’s era as Governor of Imo State. Okorocha had sacked Ilomuanya as Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers and replaced him with Eze Sam Ohiri.
Despite several court orders which reinstated Ilomunaya as Chairman of the Council, Okorocha ignored all and refused to re instate the monarch as Chairman of the Council. .
“If not the timely intervention of the flight Captain who rushed out when Ilomuanya was hitting Okorocha with his Royal walking stick to leave his sight, the story would have been something else.” Sources said.
