Governor Hope Uzodimma has been advised to call to order, some of his sacked appointees, who go ahead to parade themselves as government officials.
Mr. Fidelis Echendu, spokesman, Imo Awareness Coalition, IAC, an Owerri based watchdog group, told this newspaper in Owerri, that it is an abberation, that despite the dissolution of the expanded State Executive Council, some officials of the Uzodinma administration parade themselves as officials of the State government.
He said “This makes nonsense of government and has reduced governance to a child’s play in Imo State.
“We have observed that most of the SAs and SSAs parade themselves as if they are still in office, when they have been sacked.Some of them are moving about in their official vehicles and this makes mockery of governance.
“Even at functions, some of them are introduced as SAs or SSAs to the governor, when in real sense, the expanded State Executive Council has not been reconstituted.
Echendu called on Governor Hope Uzodimma to immediately reconstitute the State Executive Council without further delay in order to re propel the wheels of governance in the State.
He stated “Four months without the State Exco, is not healthy for governance in the State.
“The wheels of governance in the State is grinding so slow. And the governor has to expedite action to change the sorry situation by immediately reconstituting his cabinet” he said
