Elder Statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has said he was never attacked or his driver killed by unknown gunmen.
A statement by Ben Osuagwu, his media adviser, said there was no attack on Iwuanyanwu or any of his staff
“Our attention has been drawn to some rumours that unknown gunmen attacked our leader, Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and killed his driver.
“We hereby inform the public that this is not true. Neither our leader, Chief (Dr) Iwuanyanwu nor any of his staff was attacked.
“Our leader however prays to God Almighty that peace and normalcy should return in our land” the terse statement stated.
