The much-anticipated move of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen to Saudi club, Al Hilal appears to be on the brink of collapse, with reports indicating that no agreement has been reached between the club and the player.
The Napoli forward, who had been heavily linked with a record-breaking move to the Middle East, is reportedly reconsidering his options as negotiations stall.
Renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano broke the news on his Facebook page, saying “Victor Osimhen’s deal with Al Hilal is about to collapse as there’s no agreement with the player.”
The lack of consensus on personal terms is said to be the primary stumbling block in what was expected to be one of the most significant deals of the summer transfer window.
Amid the uncertainty, Turkish giants Galatasaray have made a bold entry into the race for Osimhen’s signature. Romano confirmed this development, adding, “Galatasaray have entered strong in the race, trying to get the deal done.”
The Turkish Super Lig champions are believed to be preparing a competitive offer to lure the prolific forward to Istanbul, signaling their intent to strengthen their squad for domestic and European competitions.
