*SSG, Onyeagocha, Okorocha’s aide, Emeh Trade Words On TV*

Ongoing altercations between Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha and his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, took a new dimension Sunday when the Governor said he cannot be distracted by the latter.

Former Governor Okorocha had ignited political tension in the State last week which was promptly quenched by officials of the Ihedioha administration who made damning revelations about the misdeeds of the past administration led by his predecessor.

The Governor was quoted in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr.Chibuike Onyeukwu, on Sunday saying he remains focused in the task of rebuilding the State from ruins it was plunged into by the past administration in the State.

According to the statement, the Governor spoke to over 5,000 youths who came to Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, saying “his administration will not be distracted by those who commiteed crimes against humanity in the State and destroyed the legacies of the founding fathers”

Ihedioha said he had set up various Commitees at the inception of his administration as part of the rebuilding process, pointing out that by the time the various Commitees conclude it’s assignment, Imo people will understand the depth of the rot in various sectors of the State perpertrated by the past administration.

Governor Ihedioha furtherĀ  said his administration has made significant progress in various sectors of the State such as Health, Education and Agriculture.

However more fireworks continued between Ihedioha and Okorocha on Channels TV on Sunday night.

Secretary to the State Government, Hon.Uche Onyeagocha showcased documents how the past government awarded mind blowing contracts to the tune of 20 billion naria by without going through Due Process.

He said most of the projects constructed by Okorocha’s government were substandard such as the 26 general hospital which he said has been overgrown by weeds.

Mr.Ikenna Emeh, an aide of Okorocha said the present government wants to discredit his boss and his achievements in office in the last eight years.
