Enugu State has announced a fresh suspected case of COVID-19.
Channels TV reports that the Permanent Secretary in the Enugu State Ministry of Health, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi, confirmed the development in a statement.
According to him, the Nigeria Centre Disease Control (NCDC), has been informed, while a sample has been collected and sent for investigations.
The suspect, a female, has been in the UK in the last five months.
She travelled to Enugu through Owerri on March 11,2020 to visit her son.
The Permanent Secretary adds that the suspect is being monitored and the results awaited.
